This bat is the Marucci version of a hybrid. It has a composite handle and a CAT7 alloy barrel. With this bat being a 2-piece, it does dampen vibration between the barrel and hands on mis-hits. As far as I could tell, the barrel has the same pop as the 1-piece CAT7, but this bat swings heavier. If you’re a power hitter who loves the CAT7 but wants a heavier bat, you should try this one out for sure.
