BBCOR/COLLEGE/HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL BATS

BBCOR (Ball-Bat Coefficient of Restitution) measures the “trampoline” effect of a bat. It is designed to make aluminum and composite baseball bats perform similar to high-end wood baseball bats, which are usually also BBCOR Certified. They say that you can hit the ball further, more often with a BBCOR aluminum or composite bat. But, perfect contact with a high-end wood bat can hit the ball further, less often. We’ll let you be the judge.

Currently, the NCAA and NFHS require all bats to be stamped with the BBCOR Certification symbol. So all baseball bats used in college and high school baseball must be BBCOR Certified. Also, all BBCOR baseball bats should have a barrel diameter of 2 5/8” and a length to weight ratio of -3, or “drop” 3.
